Zirtek Plus Decongestant is designed for when standard allergy tablets aren't enough to clear heavy sinus congestion. It contains Cetirizine, which handles the typical "itchy and runny" symptoms, and Pseudoephedrine, a potent decongestant that shrinks swollen blood vessels in the nasal passages to restore easy breathing. Because it is a prolonged-release tablet, the ingredients are released slowly into your system to provide balanced relief. This 6-tablet pack is intended for short-term use (up to 7 days) to get through the worst of a congestion flare-up.

Key Ingredients (per tablet)

• Cetirizine Dihydrochloride (5mg): The antihistamine component.

• Excipients: Contains lactose monohydrate and hypromellose.

How to Take

• Adults and Adolescents (12+ Years): Take one tablet twice daily (one in the morning and one in the evening).

• Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break it, as this destroys the prolonged-release mechanism.

• Duration: Do not take for more than 7 days. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

• Age Restriction: Strictly not for children under 12 years of age.

Safety Warnings & Restrictions

• Pharmacy Only (P): This is a highly regulated product due to the pseudoephedrine content. A pharmacist must verify that you do not have contraindications.

• High Blood Pressure: Do not use if you have very high blood pressure or severe coronary artery disease.

• Medical Conditions: Consult a professional if you have diabetes, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, or prostate issues.

• Interactions: Do not take if you are currently taking (or have taken in the last 14 days) MAOIs (antidepressants).

Side Effects: May cause insomnia, dry mouth, or a rapid heartbeat in some users. Avoid taking the evening dose too close to bedtime if it affects your sleep.

3. Click and collect option is available from our brick and mortar shop which is free of charge. The shop is located at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore, Galway, H91 XF51. Customers can purchase their items online and collect in store. If you do not wish to enter the shop when you are collecting, you can park outside and we will bring your order to your car. Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays and deliveries usually ship within one working day after you receive your confirmation. The deliveries are facilitated by An Post. 

There are no hidden fees or charges associated with any orders. We promise to be up-front with all delivery charges which may be associated with items you order. We only ship within Ireland so there are no import fees or customs to worry about.
