Salactol Collodion is a dual-action medicated treatment containing a high concentration of Salicylic Acid and Lactic Acid. These active ingredients work together as keratolytics to soften and dissolve the hard, thickened skin (the "wart" or "corn") layer by layer. The collodion base forms a protective, water-resistant film over the affected area, allowing the medicine to stay in place and work deeply. It is a trusted, long-standing pharmacy remedy for clearing stubborn skin growths on the hands and feet.

Key Ingredients

• Salicylic Acid (16.7% w/w): Dissolves the "glue" that holds skin cells together in warts and calluses.

• Lactic Acid (16.7% w/w): Enhances skin softening and helps clear the viral cells in warts.

• Pyroxylin & Castor Oil: Creates the flexible, protective coating.

How to Use

1. Soak: Soak the affected area in warm water for 2–3 minutes and dry thoroughly.

2. File: Gently rub the surface of the wart or corn with a pumice stone or emery board to remove loose skin.

3. Apply: Carefully apply one or two drops of Salactol to the center of the growth, avoiding healthy surrounding skin.

4. Dry: Allow it to dry completely to form a white film.

5. Frequency: Repeat once daily, usually at bedtime, until the wart or corn has completely disappeared.

Safety Warnings & Restrictions

• Avoid Healthy Skin: If the paint touches healthy skin, it will cause irritation and peeling. You can protect surrounding skin with a thin layer of petroleum jelly.

• Do NOT use on: The face, neck, armpits, or genital area. Do not use on moles, birthmarks, or hairy warts.

• Diabetes/Circulation: If you have diabetes or poor circulation, consult your doctor before use, as your feet may not heal as easily.

• Flammable: Keep away from naked flames or sparks.

1. €4.95 charge for all deliveries where the total cost of the order is below €45.00.
2. Free shipping applies for all orders where the total cost of the order is above €45.00.
3. Click and collect option is available from our brick and mortar shop which is free of charge. The shop is located at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore, Galway, H91 XF51. Customers can purchase their items online and collect in store. If you do not wish to enter the shop when you are collecting, you can park outside and we will bring your order to your car. You can call us at 091-702800 when you arrive. 

Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays and deliveries usually ship within one working day after you receive your confirmation. The deliveries are facilitated by An Post. 

There are no hidden fees or charges associated with any orders. We promise to be up-front with all delivery charges which may be associated with items you order. We only ship within Ireland so there are no import fees or customs to worry about.
