Anusol HC Suppositories are a "Pharmacy Only" medication that offers stronger relief than standard Anusol. The key addition is Hydrocortisone Acetate, a mild steroid that actively reduces swelling and shrinks the inflamed tissue of internal piles. Alongside this, it contains a blend of astringents and antiseptics (like Zinc Oxide and Bismuth) that soothe the sensitive lining of the rectum, protect raw areas from further irritation, and promote natural healing. They are specifically shaped for easy insertion and are the preferred format for internal symptoms that creams cannot reach effectively.

How to Use

• Adults (18+ Years): Insert one suppository into the anus in the morning, one at night, and ideally one after each bowel movement.

• Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 3 suppositories in a 24-hour period.

• Hygiene: Wash the anal area and your hands thoroughly before and after use. Remove the plastic cover before insertion.

• Duration: Use for a maximum of 7 days. If symptoms persist beyond a week, consult your doctor.

• Pharmacy Only (P): You must consult with a pharmacist to ensure this steroid-based product is suitable for you.

• Age Restriction: Not recommended for children under 18 years old.

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Do not use unless specifically directed by your doctor, as it contains a corticosteroid.

• Medical Review: Consult a doctor immediately if you experience rectal bleeding, if symptoms worsen, or if you have a history of fungal/viral infections in the area.

• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C.

3. Click and collect option is available from our brick and mortar shop which is free of charge. The shop is located at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore, Galway, H91 XF51. Customers can purchase their items online and collect in store. If you do not wish to enter the shop when you are collecting, you can park outside and we will bring your order to your car. You can call us at 091-702800 when you arrive. 

Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays and deliveries usually ship within one working day after you receive your confirmation. The deliveries are facilitated by An Post. 

There are no hidden fees or charges associated with any orders. We promise to be up-front with all delivery charges which may be associated with items you order. We only ship within Ireland so there are no import fees or customs to worry about.
