Night Nurse Liquid is a powerful "all-in-one" medicine specifically for use at bedtime. It combines a high-strength painkiller with an antihistamine to dry up a runny nose and a cough suppressant to quieten tickly coughs. The demulcent syrup base helps soothe a sore throat on contact. Because it contains Promethazine, which has sedative properties, it is highly effective at helping you sleep through the discomfort of shivers, aches, and congestion, allowing your body to focus on recovery.

Key Ingredients (per 20ml dose)

• Paracetamol (1000mg): Maximum strength dose for pain and fever.

• Promethazine Hydrochloride (20mg): To dry nasal secretions and aid sleep.

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (15mg): To suppress a non-productive, dry cough.

• Note: Contains 18% v/v ethanol (alcohol) and glucose/sucrose.

How to Take

• Adults and Children 16+ Years: Fill the measuring cup to the 20ml mark and take once daily just before going to bed.

• Maximum Dose: Do not take more than one dose (20ml) per night.

• Duration: Do not use for more than 7 nights consecutively.

• Age Restriction: Strictly not for use in children under 16 years of age.

Safety Warnings & Restrictions

• Pharmacy Only (P): A pharmacist must review the sale.

• Paracetamol Warning: Do not take if you have already reached the daily limit of 4000mg of paracetamol from other products (like Panadol or Lemsip).

• Alcohol Content: This product contains alcohol; use with caution if you are in a high-risk group (liver disease, epilepsy) or have an intolerance.

• Diabetes: High sugar content (approx. 12.8g per dose); must be accounted for in diabetic patients.

• Next Day: May cause morning-after grogginess. Do not drive if you feel drowsy the following morning.

3. Click and collect option is available from our brick and mortar shop which is free of charge. The shop is located at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore, Galway, H91 XF51. Customers can purchase their items online and collect in store. If you do not wish to enter the shop when you are collecting, you can park outside and we will bring your order to your car. You can call us at 091-702800 when you arrive. 

Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays and deliveries usually ship within one working day after you receive your confirmation. The deliveries are facilitated by An Post. 

There are no hidden fees or charges associated with any orders. We promise to be up-front with all delivery charges which may be associated with items you order. We only ship within Ireland so there are no import fees or customs to worry about.
