Domerid Relief is a "Pharmacy Only" medication specifically formulated to treat acute symptoms of nausea and vomiting. It belongs to a group of medicines called dopamine antagonists and acts as a prokinetic agent. This means it works by helping your stomach empty more efficiently and speeding up the transit of food into the upper intestine. Additionally, it targets the "chemoreceptor trigger zone" in the brain to block the signals that cause the urge to be sick. It is highly effective for managing short-term stomach upsets, viral gastroenteritis (stomach bugs), or travel-related sickness.

How to Use

• Eligibility: Suitable for adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older, weighing 35kg or more.

• Dosage: Take one 10mg tablet up to 3 times per day.

• Timing: For maximum effectiveness, take the tablet 15–30 minutes before meals. Taking it after food can delay its absorption and action.

• Maximum Dose: Do not exceed 3 tablets (30mg) within any 24-hour period.

• Duration: Do not take this medication for longer than 7 days without consulting a doctor.

• Pharmacy Only (P): This is a restricted over-the-counter medicine. You must complete a brief pharmacist screening before purchase, and sales are strictly limited to one pack per person.

• Heart Health: Crucial Safety Warning: Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have any history of heart rhythm disorders (such as QT prolongation), heart failure, or electrolyte imbalances.

• Contraindications: Do not use if you have liver disease, stomach bleeding, a mechanical bowel obstruction, or a pituitary gland tumor (prolactinoma).

• Pregnancy & Breastfeeding: Not recommended unless explicitly prescribed by a medical doctor.

• Drowsiness: Can cause mild dizziness or sleepiness in some individuals; avoid driving until you know how it affects you.

3. Click and collect option is available from our brick and mortar shop which is free of charge. The shop is located at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore, Galway, H91 XF51. Customers can purchase their items online and collect in store. If you do not wish to enter the shop when you are collecting, you can park outside and we will bring your order to your car. Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays and deliveries usually ship within one working day after you receive your confirmation. The deliveries are facilitated by An Post. 

There are no hidden fees or charges associated with any orders. We promise to be up-front with all delivery charges which may be associated with items you order. We only ship within Ireland so there are no import fees or customs to worry about.
