Artelac Preservative Free Eye Drops are a premium ophthalmic lubricant designed to mimic natural tears and alleviate the discomfort associated with dry eye syndrome. The active ingredient, hypromellose, works as a high-performance tear substitute by increasing the viscosity (thickness) of the solution. This allows the drop to cling smoothly to the surface of the eye for an extended period, preventing premature evaporation and providing prolonged hydration.
Many standard bottled eye drops utilize harsh chemical preservatives to maintain sterility, which can cause further inflammation in sensitive or severely dry eyes. Artelac eliminates this risk by utilizing sterile, single-dose units (SDUs). These individual vials ensure a clean, contamination-free application every single time, refreshing and cooling the cornea while washing away airborne irritants.
Preservative-Free Formulation: Eliminates the risk of preservative-induced ocular irritation, making it perfectly suited for chronic users and sensitive eyes.
Prolonged Contact Time: Hypromellose increases the solution’s thickness, helping it stay on the eye surface longer than standard saline drops.
Hygienic Single-Use Vials: Packaged in 30 individual 0.5ml units, preventing contamination and ensuring a sterile drop with every application.
Contact Lens Compatible: Safe for use by contact lens wearers, offering soothing relief from lens-induced dryness.
All-Age Suitability: Safe and approved for symptomatic dry-eye relief in children, adults, and the elderly.
Active Ingredient: Hypromellose.
Excipients: Sorbitol, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, and water for injections.
Phosphate Warning: This product contains a phosphate buffer of phosphates per drop). In very rare cases, patients with severe pre-existing corneal damage have developed cloudy patches due to calcium build-up.
Always wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling the single-dose units.
1.Prepare the Vial:Separate and open.
Detach one single-dose unit from the strip. Hold the unit by the labeled end and twist off the flat cap to break the sterile seal.
2.Ocular Instillation:Administer the drop.
Tilt your head back slightly and look upward. Gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Hold the vial upside down above the eye and squeeze gently to instill 1 drop into the corner of the eye nearest the nose.
3.Post-Application:Disperse and discard.
Release the eyelid and blink several times to spread the solution evenly across the eye surface. Discard the vial and any remaining fluid immediately after a single use. Do not save open vials for later.
Standard Frequency: Apply 1 drop 3 to 5 times daily, or as frequently as required to maintain sufficient lubrication.
