MacuShield Original, developed in collaboration with leading eye health experts, contains lutein (10mg), zeaxanthin (2mg) and meso-zeaxanthin (10mg) and is a once-a-day, easy to take, food supplement which combines all three macula carotenoids in a unique formula.

Benefits & Features

• Scientific research shows that these three nutrients are found at the back of the eye, at the macula, where they form the macula pigment (yellow colour). The macula is a specialist parts of the eye that is responsible for our detailed, central vision.
• Meso-zeaxanthin is particularly concentrated at the centre of this pigment.
• The macular pigment develops solely from our diet. Lutein and zeaxanthin can be found in fruits and dark green leafy vegetables and meso-zeaxanthin is present in some species of fish and seafood. An average western diet contains approximately 1.3-3mg of these carotenoids each day. MacuShield is a nutritional supplement to supplement your diet (if you are not getting enough beneficial nutrients) and should not replace a balanced diet.
• The three carotenoids in MacuShield are a derivative of the marigold flower Tagetes erecta, sourced and grown specifically for the production of lutein, zeaxanthin and meso-zeaxanthin.

We ship to houses and properties throughout the Republic of Ireland. These are the options:

1. €6.50 charge for all deliveries where the total cost of the order is below €38.00.
2. Free shipping applies for all orders where the total cost of the order is above €38.00.
3. Click and collect option is available from our brick and mortar shop which is free of charge. The shop is located at Walsh’s Pharmacy, Oranmore, Galway, H91 XF51. Customers can purchase their items online and collect in store. If you do not wish to enter the shop when you are collecting, you can park outside and we will bring your order to your car. You can call us at 091-702800 when you arrive. 

Orders are processed Mondays through Fridays and deliveries usually ship within one working day after you receive your confirmation. The deliveries are facilitated by An Post. 

There are no hidden fees or charges associated with any orders. We promise to be up-front with all delivery charges which may be associated with items you order. We only ship within Ireland so there are no import fees or customs to worry about.
